About Industel
We are a software house in a market town, doing work that usually lives in a city.
Industel is the trading name of Industrial Telecom Ltd. We build custom software - the kind organisations run their operations on - and we stay with it once it is live.
That means the whole span: business analysis and systems architecture at the front, interface and experience design, engineering, test and assurance, then hosting, monitoring and day-to-day operations behind it. Alongside that we provide managed IT services and professional services for organisations that would rather have one supplier who understands the whole estate than five who each understand a slice.
We work from Lasyard House on Underhill Street in Bridgnorth, on the Severn in Shropshire. It is a deliberate choice: clients get senior engineers rather than a rotating bench, and we get to keep people for years rather than months.

One team, whole lifecycle
Architecture, design, build, test, host, run. No hand-off to a third party at the point where responsibility usually gets blurry - the people who designed it are the people who keep it up.
We run our own products
The group builds and operates real systems in insurance, occupancy monitoring, environmental sensing and retail. We answer the out of hours calls for our own software, which tends to concentrate the mind at design time.
Built to stay in service
Plenty of our work is long-lived line-of-business software. We optimise for the decade, not the demo: documented decisions, boring dependencies, and an upgrade path that exists.

Lasyard House sits in Low Town, below the sandstone cliff that splits Bridgnorth in two. There is a cliff railway, a good chip shop and parking that is easier than anything you will find in Birmingham.
